kk trip back to brunei.23/march/2008

well it all started at 8:00 when me, nnlr1 and AZ decided to wash our bikes at api-api centre in kk.
while waiting for our bikes to be cleaned, we had breakfast. :) then we went to the shopping centre behind wisma....( i can't remember) but it was near our car wash place and it was a new shopping centre. we cartered the carpark for 5RM per bike which cost us 15RM because we wanted our bikes to be looked at by the security.

then there we bought donuts (kinda like fundonuts) and went to starbucks coffee to chill here are some pics on our chill time. then we went back to the hotel to get our stuffs cleared and ready for the trip.

after we got our stuffs in the recovery vehicle, we started our bikes and had lunch courtesy of jul smoke. thanks jul for the lunch...here are the pics

it was yummy!!! despite i was hyper due to the coffee frapucino from starbucks. meanwhile the other guys, Jul smoke, nnlr710, and AJZ Kmr went to brouse for shopping.

16:00 decided to go back to brunei, after being hypnotised by the products sold at the shops!!!


we started the journey by using our bikes and the recovery vehicle was out first, filled our tanks full for the first fill of the journey back home. we went and challenged the corners and the friendly motorist which had good understanding of us going home thanks guys in KK!!!.

i still remembered otw to the filling station was small showers which gave us a bath then when we filled our tanks the rain suddenly stopped and the sun came shining yeS!!!.

when we headed home our main target was going to sepitang, yes we reached there around 2 hours. here are some pics of our first stop back home.

after our first stop at sepitang town, we headed to the border of sabah and sarawak and otw there it was raining.

at lawas otw back was challenging, it was dark and raining, i was first at front and phobia of the stone and clay roads was in my mind. my eyes was very exhausted that i could see anything when cars passed by.then nnlr1 took over and it was an increase in our speed!!! we reached lawas immigration and customs post safely.

there was a long queue at the lawas ferry so nnlr 313 decided to exchange with AZ using his own bike the fazer600. so it was me and my bike, nnlr1 and his r1 2008, nnlr710 and nnlr6's r6 and 313 and his fazer 600.

we slipped to the havoc quitely and swiftly, (kami potong q sal kai bike hahahha), here are some pics of us on the ferry.

yep we reached temburong after the stones and clay where all our bikes was drifting despite the slipperry clay!!! reminds me of my days on my 4x4 at ulu sukang before there was stones!!!.



we reached temburong and worried of our support vehicle arose, nnlr1 was confident that they won't make it. but i guess they finally ermmm read on....

plans of me going shoppin in limbang poofed!!! because we were running after the time! we reached brunei immigration post near 22:00 after the wet and dark journey......

it was a good experienced though for us... anyhows this is my 4th trip to kk still i like the hospitality and the journey to that place!!! i really like the corners in lawas and otw to beaufort. the corners at mount kinabalu and the papar corners before reaching kk by the kampung road.

2008 1st trip to kk

well the trip started on the 21st of march 2008, where i was not going on that day nnlr1 and 313 were going though using nnlr1's bike yamaha r1 2008 and nnlr6's bike yamaha r6 2000.

people on board was nnlr1 aka knee drager, nnlr 313 aka joker x, ajz kmr, nnlr 710 aka spike X, jul smoke and 313's gf.

anyhows i was not going to join them due to commitments at home.they safely reached there around 7++ at night when they started to depart at 15:00 from brunei.

The actual story starts 23/3/08 when i was going to kk with my cousin AZ using my bike yamaha fzs1000 (2005) and 313's bike fzs600 (2007). so the picture above shows my solo ride to limbang whilst the story will be explained further.

9:00 hours in brunei, i went to Bibd kiulap to get my bluecard copied while waiting for AZ to do his license and stuff then around 10:30 ++ i got news that AZ cannot come due to several reasons with his passport.

so i began riding alone going to the post border at limbang and limau manis. i called AZ and nnlr 7 to show them that i reached the immigration post. there i saw nnlr 6 using car with friends eddy and small devil on board a honda city or toyota soluna ( can't remember) so this boost my confidence for the long ride to come.

i began riding alone to bandar limbang, although the first thing i was worried was animals and stuffs on the road i was really carefull because the road conditons in limbang was slippery ( iguess the stones used for the roads are smaller than brunei's). anyhows back to the story as i went out of limbang immigration post there was a stone road filled with potholes a very butt aching experience though!on the sleek roads i encounter a landslide which cut the road to a one lane road!!!my speed was only 100km though and i managed to spot the flaw!!!

then i reached limbang, i decided to exchange my money to RM the rate at that time was 2.28 (still good rate!). i stopped near the immigration post for the boats and they say i have to chop my passport at the area near the ferry.

then i started to go to the bike shop to buy a bike net.sadly there was no net left so i went on tying my bag full of shirts, my jeans, chain wax, wd40,my perfume and others ;p. then reaching the milestone telling me 5km to ferry i realised that i slipped my bag!!!.i went back eagerly to find out my bag was snitched from the road after 3 complete limbang tours!!!!. then i called nnlr 7 and AZ and in the worries of loosing my bag, i was happy to find out AZ was able to come with me!!.

i waited from 11:00 hrs at the bike park area near sugarbun limbang.there after hours of waiting, i looked at the clouds there was a black cloud waiting to cry, so i went back to the bike shop to purchase a rain jacket. i went back to the parking area with boredom then i spotted big bikes!!!i parked my bike and waited for them to go round the ngiukee building. then on the front i noticed an oranged coloured yamaha v max!!!yep it's bro seruji from the black devils here is their pic...

after waiting and sweating from waiting AZ he finally came to limbang at 15:30 ++. the black devil riders was about to leave limbang too after their trip to temburong and lunch with me at sugarbun.

we started riding and reached the limbang post before the ferry, there on the way i was still curious where my bag has gone but both of us predicted it was taken... anyhows i planned to buy new clothes reaching kk. :)

we rode to temburong and made another stop, just like i predicted the clouds was crying and we put on our raining suits here is a pic of AZ with his rain suit on.here is also a pic of our bikes at the temburong limbang post.

yep we are getting ready to be wet!!!! on the way to the temburong and lawas post was a rainy day but we stopped at the temburong shops to purchase my cigerettes. it was not really raining that hard though. then we reached the limbang lawas immigration and customs post.

then came the challenging part, we started to have butt aches when riding after the post where there were a lot of pot holes on the way to the lawas ferry.luckily we reached the ferry i was able to get some pics because my cousin AZ. he said it looks like the vietnam river anyhows i got the pic while thinking i haven't been to vietnam though hehhe.


then after the ferry we went to the lawas arrival post. standing there i noticed that something was funny. erm i asked AZ if we should use rain jackets or not? well he said " look at the cars from lawas, they are all wet!!! i guess we must put on our rain jackets!"

otw to the lawas town there was heavy rain and the road conditions was even worse!, clay and stones!!!! we ride on the roads very slowly and was happy when we reached the tar roads!.we decided to ride direct to sepitang.there we reached the sepitang sindumin border (sabah and sarawak) at dusk. well the roads was getting dark and it was raining. hence slowing our speed.

our next stop was at the sepitang filling station near the roundabout at sepitang town.
there i claeaned and waxed my chain. here is a pic of our stop.




then we went to beaufort, it is where you go by land to labuan by ferry but we wanted to have our dinner there.it was a dark and rainy night, we passed the sepitang town and other towns to beaufort. when we reached beaufort we were so hungry hence loss of concentration on the cold dark roads. it was good i had my alpinestars shoes on and it had goretex material on it hence my feet are breathing.hahhaha but still it is wet and my skin was crippled.


8:00 hours - i know it doesn't look tasty but i was soo hungry the menu that night was white rice, chicken gizzard in curry, beef in curry and spinach. we ate beside the kfc in beaufort. i remember AZ said that our journey was not much to go, hoping not to end his optimism i said yes hehhehe.otw to kk i remembered that we saw a sign which shows the distance to kk and i pointed at the sign where it says 100km to go hehehhe i was smiling when i pointed in silence to show AZ how many more km to go. otw there the rain stopped earlier before we reached beaufort. so our clothes became dry but my boots are still wet..... after wets and drys we finally reached kk and directly went to the "pasar malam" to buy myself new clothes hehhehe and i bought a pair of camo trousers and a white shirt. then we went to our hotel in tanjung aru and had a great rest ( for AZ) i went to raz ma taz with the crew to chill out.

ok that's all next post will be about our trip back.ohh i nearly forgot!! here are some pics taken by nnlr1 when they went to mount kinabalu and we were otw there. enjoy!!!

next unofficial trip hopefully!!

next trip will be planned on this march 21st to 23rd. well to Kota Kinabalu. hopefully i'll post some photos on our trip soon so wait for it...
